CPR & Basic First Aid for Massage Therapists
This one-day workshop is designed specifically for massage therapists who want to feel confident and prepared in emergency situations. Participants will gain both knowledge and hands-on skills in CPR, AED use, and essential first aid, learning how to respond safely and effectively to medical emergencies that may arise in a clinical or everyday setting.
What You’ll Learn
Topics include:
- Roles and responsibilities of a first aid provider
- First aid legislation and regulations
- Emergency scene management
- Shock, unconsciousness, and fainting
- Head and spinal injuries
- Cardiovascular emergencies
- Adult CPR/AED and choking
- Asthma and severe allergies
- Bleeding and wound care
- Burns
- Medical conditions (including diabetic emergencies and seizures)
- Heat and cold injuries
- Musculoskeletal system injuries
- Mental health first aid
By the end of this course, massage therapists will not only receive Basic First Aid and CPR certification, but also leave with the confidence to act quickly and effectively when it matters most.
About the Instructor
Zeineb “Zee” Erradi is a Certified Athletic Therapist with a Master’s in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa, specializing in Consultation and Intervention. She has been teaching CPR and First Aid for over a decade and is passionate about equipping people with practical tools that can help save lives.
Outside of teaching, Zee enjoys spending time with her husband, baby daughter, and friends—whether over a cozy dinner or out camping. Her love of teaching and supportive approach make her workshops engaging, practical, and memorable.
