Discover the art of Kobido-inspired facial lifting massage in this intensive one-day masterclass designed for both beginners and experienced massage and beauty professionals.

Learn a dynamic Japanese facial massage approach that works with the facial muscles, fascia, circulation, lymphatic system, and nervous system. Through a combination of precise, rhythmic and lifting techniques, participants will learn how facial massage can help release accumulated muscular tension, encourage healthy blood microcirculation, support lymphatic drainage and create a naturally refreshed and lifted appearance.

Throughout this hands-on workshop, Boycie will guide participants through facial massage techniques ranging from foundational movements to more refined lifting and sculpting methods. The focus is not simply on performing a sequence, but on understanding how the tissues of the face respond to touch, pressure, rhythm and movement.

Participants will explore techniques to:

• Release tension held within the facial muscles and fascia
• Encourage blood circulation and lymphatic drainage
• Improve the appearance of facial tone and definition
• Work with lifting, sculpting and rejuvenating massage movements
• Incorporate relaxation and nervous-system calming techniques
• Develop better precision, rhythm and flow when performing facial treatments
• Create a treatment that is both deeply relaxing and visibly revitalizing

The workshop will also introduce the use of the Ayurvedic Kansa Wand, demonstrating how this traditional tool can be incorporated into facial treatments to complement manual massage techniques.

If time permits, Boycie will also introduce participants to selected advanced abdominal massage techniques, offering an additional perspective on integrative bodywork.

No previous facial massage experience is required. This Masterclass is open to all levels, from complete beginners wishing to explore professional facial massage to experienced therapists looking to expand and refine their techniques.

Meet Your Instructor

Praphan Tangmanaphitham, known internationally as “Boycie,” is an award-winning massage therapist, educator, assessor, international competition judge and instructor with extensive experience in the professional massage industry.

His qualifications include VTCT Level 3 Award in Education and Training, VTCT Level 3 Assessing Vocational Achievement, VTCT Level 3 Sports Massage, VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Massage Therapy, and VTCT Level 3 Thai Massage.

Boycie is a Massage Instructor for the World Massage Federation (WMF) and a qualified international judge for both the World Massage Federation (WMF) and International Massage Association (IMA). He has served as a judge at national and international massage championships since 2022.

His international competition achievements include:

• Silver Medal – Eastern Freestyle, World Championship Massage, Copenhagen, 2019
• 3rd Place – Massage & Spa Talent, Italy, 2019
• Bronze Medal – Asian Massage, Greek Massage Championship, 2021

His international involvement has also included the Nuad Thai Championships in the United Kingdom, Universal Massage Championship in Germany, Universal Massage Championship in Chiang Rai, Thailand, Open Massage Championship in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and the M1 Tournament Grand Prix in Bangkok.

Beyond his own competition experience, Boycie has trained students who have gone on to win medals at national and international massage competitions, with a number of his former students becoming successful instructors and recognized professionals within the industry.
