For athletes who train continuously, the goal is to enhance endurance, lessen the chance of injury and shorten the time needed to recover from an event. Sports Massage may also be used for injury rehabilitation. This course will explore the mindset and needs of a specific market- including athletes, sports teams, and fitness people. A deeper look at anatomy, pathologies and sports related injuries, including on-site and supervised clinics will be part of this curriculum. From prophylactic to neuroproprioceptive, these tapings can be used to help stabilize a joint, help with postural corrections, help with muscle activation or deactivation and/or help with lymphatic drainage.
